De combi van lichaam<br>en geest levert een levende ziel op.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#00a377\" class=\"has-text-color\">\u2018En Christus is niet de tweede Adam?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#0046a3\" class=\"has-text-color\">Hij is de laatste Adam; de Schrift is uit-<br>eraard heel nauwkeurig. Wanneer het<br>telwoord\u00a0<em>tweede\u00a0<\/em>gebruikt was, had er<br>nog een\u00a0<em>derde\u00a0<\/em>kunnen komen. Met de<br>uitdrukking\u00a0<em>laatste\u00a0<\/em>wordt \u2018de rij\u2019 afge-<br>sloten. Door die laatste Adam wordt<br>het gevolg van de daad van de eerste\u00a0<br>Adam meer dan tenietgedaan. Ziel is<br>tegenover\u00a0<em>geest<\/em>\u00a0geplaatst.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#00a377\" class=\"has-text-color\">\u2018Geest is meer dan ziel.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#0046a3\" class=\"has-text-color\">Na de oude, zielse mensheid komt de <br>nieuwe, geestelijke mensheid. Met de<br>mooie stijlfiguur:\u00a0<em>een levendmakende<br>geest<\/em>\u00a0wordt benadrukt, dat\u00a0<em>geest\u00a0<\/em>het\u00a0<br>kenmerk van de nieuwe mens is. Pau-<br>lus spreekt van een\u00a0<em>geestelijke nieuwe<br>schepping\u00a0<\/em>in 2 Corinthi\u00ebrs 5.
