Men citeert dan (vaak half) uit het hoofd: &#8216;van die dag of die uur weet niemand&#8217;. Dat zou voldoende moeten zijn om ieder af te schrikken, die dit serieus in de Schrift zou willen onderzoeken. Genoemd citaat staat in Mattheus 24:36 &#8216;<em>Maar van die dag en die ure weet niemand, ook niet de engelen van de hemelen, dan Mijn Vader alleen<\/em>&#8216;. \u00a0Als we kijken in het direct voorgaande vers, dan staat daar, dat het gaat om het voorbijgaan van de hemel en de aarde. Dat is een veel later (Openbaring 20:11, 2 Petrus 3:10,12) gebeuren dan de terugkeer van Jezus Christus als Zoon van de mens! Voor de rest wijst de Heer Jezus op het onverwachte van Zijn terugkeer, maar noemt steeds &#8216;<em>de ure<\/em>&#8216;. Nergens lees je, dat de Heer zegt dat het niet uitgerekend mag worden!
