Bij Paulus zijn er geen voorwaarden. Stel nu, dat<br \/>\nje je toch in water laat dopen. Wat doe je dan?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Misschien lijkt er op het eerste gezicht niet zo veel aan de hand. Je denkt<br \/>\ndat het goed is om te doen, en dat het een mooie uitbeelding van het feit<br \/>\ndat je weet dat je met Christus gestorven, begraven en opgewekt bent.<br \/>\nEn in Romeinen 6 wordt toch ook over de doop gesproken. Alleen gaat<br \/>\nhet in dat hoofdstuk om de doop naarbinnen de dood van Christus Jezus.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">&#8216;Dat kan dan niet de doop in water zijn.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Juist, anders zou dat echt een dwingend voorschrift zijn waarbij iets<br \/>\nspecifieks gebeurt. En dan zou het van het handelen van de dopeling en<br \/>\nde betreffende doper afhangen. Werk van mensenhanden dus. En juist<br \/>\ndie mensenhanden k\u00c3\u00bannen niets toevoegen aan het reeds volbrachte<br \/>\nwerk van Christus.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>&#8216;Daarmee geef je het aan. Het zou een (verkapt) toevoegen aan het werk<br \/>\nvan Christus zijn. Dat kan niet de bedoeling zijn.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Paulus predikt het evangelie van genade alleen. En alleen dan is het ook<br \/>\necht genade. Zou je je daarbij laten dopen in water, dan zeg je eigenlijk dat<br \/>\nje Christus niet nodig hebt. Het is hetzelfde als Paulus tegen de Galaten<br \/>\nover de besnijdenis zegt:<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/strong><\/span><em><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Zie, ik, Paulus, zeg jullie: indien jullie je laten besnijden,<br \/>\nzal Christus jullie geen nut doen.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;He hoe zit het nu.
