Een mythe <\/em>is een verdichtsel, een
verzonnen verhaal. Er circuleren
heel wat daarvan binnen Isra\u00ebls
traditie(s). Over \u2018engelen\u2019 die in
situaties wonderlijk handelden,
et cetera. Het eindeloos nagaan
van geslachtsregisters om te zien
bij welke stam je hoort, is ook
sterk in het Jodendom aanwezig.
Tegenwoordig zijn nogal wat
gelovigen verstrikt in na te gaan
of ze mogelijk bij de 10 stammen
van Isra\u00ebl horen. Dit heeft met
vleselijke <\/em>komaf te maken.
Paulus schreef deze brief terwijl
hij al bezig was de nieuwe
schepping in Christus <\/em>bekend te
maken. Dan kennen wij elkaar
– zelfs Christus – niet langer naar
het vlees. Stambomen met lijnen
naar de 10 stammen (of 2) zijn
daarin niet aan de orde; in de
geest <\/em>speelt dat geen rol. \u00a0\u00a0
Laten wij ons verheugen dat wij
in Christus een nieuwe schepping<\/em>
